My name is Heidi and I am a Texas-licensed massage therapist and a member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I have my practice in a Victorian bungalow conveniently located just off of I10 in the historic Houston Heights district and within very easy access from Downtown, the Washington Corridor, Memorial, River Oaks, the Galleria, and Midtown. I specialize in providing my clients relief from the built-up tension of everyday stresses, and from more chronic issues such as persistent neck, shoulder, and lower back pain. I approach massage as a healing modality and believe in the power of touch to benefit my clients, both physically and mentally. I am not only an LMT, but a CMMP (Certified Medical Massage Practitioner) and am best known for my deep tissue work which provides relief for the muscle issues other therapists often overlook. I am also experienced in Swedish, and Thai massage. When I work with a client, my focus is entirely on that person's well-being, both physically and mentally. I am not a body rubber, but a massage professional seeking to leave my clients with a refreshed and healthier body through well-placed, intuitive movement with the correct amount of pressure to get the best results for the client while keeping his or her comfort in mind. My clients especially enjoy the way I provide firm, therapeutic strokes with one hand while distracting them with softer, more soothing and relaxing strokes with the other hand. I get the knots worked out while making you feel good at the same time! I also consider the massage a shared experience, and encourage the client's feedback as we work through the body. RATES: Deep tissue: $95 per hour/ $140 1 1/2 hours Swedish or Thai: $85 per hour/ $125 1 1/2 hours Body Scrub: $90 (takes an hour) This treatment is a light massage with a salt or sugar base mixed with moisturizing oils.
